Aladdin

I’ve always had a thing for Disney’s Aladdin. I knew why immediately. Part of it, of course, is that the Disney version, shirtless and with just a tiny vest and ballooning silk pants, is incredibly homoerotic. But for me there is even more to it. My friend, John, from high school was a dead ringer for him. The resemblance was actually very striking. His dad was Dutch and his mom was Palestinian Arab. Being half Arab and half European meant that he had the same kind of exotic but Anglicized features as Disney’s Aladdin. So, in other words, he was just a gorgeous, olive-skinned twinkie boy! One day we were able to go on a school club outing at the beach. I got to see him shirtless and almost died from the sight of him. I still remember his tight little six pack and and the amazing burning sensation I got when I stared at him! Oh jesus! In retrospect, I imagine I was rather blatant with my ogling, and I’m sure I outed myself pretty obviously to our club advisor. lol
So enjoy my homage to Aladdin and my little high school crush!
